Solving a Performance Problem (AM)
Businesses are built on the strengths of people.  The people within a business define to their customers what the business is and how it operates.  Over the last decade, competition and change have reshaped business, and dramatically increased client demand for excellence and quality customer service.  Businesses large and small have been forced to rethink policies and processes in their scramble to develop a competitive advantage and to maintain or increase market share.

Ironically, in the rush to streamline operations, businesses often overlook the people who perform the tasks and add value to the services they provide their clients.  Employees are not immune to the stress and strains of change.  Their performance is a key element in the success of any business.  When their performance falters, the business falters.

This program focuses on performance, and effective strategies to improve and maintain excellent staff performance.

Program Outcomes:
  • Define performance problems
  • Confirming performance weaknesses
  • Preparing for a performance interview
  • The meeting
  • The action plan
  • The follow-up meeting

Recommended For: Any level of management (Supervisors, Managers, Principals)

Solving an Absenteeism Problem (PM)
Each day thousands of managers, supervisors and team leaders across Canada hear those dreaded words.  An unexpected absence plague managers, frustrates customers and drives up costs.  The loss of a trained person, even for a short period is often reflected in reduced service, productivity or quality.  Absenteeism is serious as it saps the effectiveness of organizations and reduces their ability to compete.

In the past, absenteeism has been tolerated and absorbed as a “cost” of doing business, but organizations are finding they can no longer carry the cost of employees who frequently fail to report to work.  Developing strategies to manage absenteeism and focus employees on the importance of excellent attendance is a challenge, but is attainable.

This program focuses on absenteeism, and effective strategies to improve and maintain excellent staff attendance.

Program Outcomes:
  • Understanding absenteeism
  • Confirming an absenteeism problem
